I'm just going to guess, the inspiration behind this has to be our infamous homeless "model" who was discovered in China earlier this year which caused an international debacle. I like this series a lot. it brings attention yet again to the people and places that we normally don't have the patience to look at. and this series point out a new way of thinking things, I mean, beauty of life is found in the most difficult and hard places. Chris holding these name brand bags is just a sarcastic scoff to the so-called hipsters, especially to the young kinds who rock 5-600 dollar kicks today.
I'm fascinated by Chris and the fact it was his decision to be "homeless." he's only one of the millions of people who optioned to live on the streets night after night in this world. I can only imagine what he's been thru, the stories he's able to tell.
