Workmen

Japanese has always had a way to make other cultures their own. and in many cases, they make them better.

American work wear is probably the most over looked fashion element for years. Brands like Dickies, Lees, Levis and Carhartt all are sort of dying in a fashion sense in the states. these brands never meant to shine in the fashion world, and they just stick to what they do best. and that genuine authenticity gives them an undeniable charm.

It always fascinates me that how many fashion enthusiasts overseas in Asia who embrace the vintage American gear that have been long forgotten here in its home town. The Japanese collect them, break them apart, study them and make them their own.

so, I guess this phenomenon caught fire. now it's main stream. worker gear is now officially back in fashion. it's not anything new. work gear has been in the background of fashion for at least a couple years now. but never did I know, it'll come into the scene like the way it's going to.

victim x dickies

stussy x dickies (two American brands, Japan only, ridiculous.)

soph x dickies

LUKER by neighborhood x dickies

N.hollywood x dickies

A.P.C. x carhartt
