nothing is forever...

Street fashion was a term that everyone loved back in the late 90's and early 2000's, then it became a term that everyone loved to hate...until it died. oh well maybe it hasn't died yet but it's definitely different than what it used to feel like. it was obscure, discreet and cool, now it's main stream and no one cares except the celebrities and fad followers. ha, it's sad because that is very anti-street when you think about it.

a surprising news broke earlier this week, HK's IT has bought 90% of the stock share of Japan's honor and pride (in the street fashion sense) Bathing ape with a misly 2.8 million US dollars.

David W. Marx wrote his thesis on Bape a little over 10 years ago, and he just published another article to discuss the end of an era in the fashion world. very good read...
