BARBARA KRUGER SOLO EXHIBITION

heard an exciting news last weekend that Barbara Kruger is having her solo exhibition in so-cal this Spring/Summer. her first solo show in LA since 1999 at MoCA.

New pieces include The Globe Shrinks; a multi-channel video installation, a Kruger "room wrap", and two exterior projections. Although the work is new, we can definitely expect the same ideas, themes and issues - like money, power, violence, doubt, desire, winning and, most importantly, losing.

I've always been a fan of her work. I find her stuff strong and inspiring, and I'm sure that I'm not the only one who feels this way. Between this show and the 'art in the streets' event at MoCA, this will be an interesting and exciting young Summer.

The exhibition will be running from 14 May through to 9 July, 2011.
